Consumer and Market Insights Manager – Pet Nutrition Full Time

Job Description:

The Consumer and Market Insights Manager is responsible for contributing to the short and long-term Mars Pet Nutrition growth agenda by bringing strategic recommendations rooted in Pet Parents and market insights.The role will proactively identify key areas of opportunities and risks for the business from the external lens an on-going basis throughout the year. The associate will partner with internal stakeholders in marketing, sales, strategy as well as with external vendors to provide deep, fact-based understanding to enable decisions and outcomes.

What are we looking for?

• University degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience with Consumer Insights & Market Intelligence Data Sources.
• Detailed knowledge of Syndicated Data and application tools.
• Consumer research related methodologies & applications.
• Advanced Excel & PowerBI Skills.
• Holistic consumer research experience covering areas such as Market Analysis and Intelligence, Quantitative and Qualitative Consumer Research Methodologies, Expertise in Retail & Consumer Panel datasets.
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills with expertise to integrate different sources of insights to derive actionable recommendations for the business.
• Ability to partner with vendors to identify suitable research techniques to address business needs.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Contribute to insights that shape the growth & share ambition for PN Canada through the annual planning process.
• Drive understanding of innovation and core business performance through leveraging multiple data sources (Nielsen / Numerator etc) through S&OP+.
• Budget, Plan and execute the annual consumer and market insights research plan with close partnerships with vendors, with a mindset of efficiency and value leadership.
• Support and partner for global transformation workstreams in the capacity of market insights expert.
• Partner with Marketing and Sales Strategy to identify key questions and build a plan to provide short & long-terms solutions from a pet parent perspective.
• Drive pet parent closeness with the Canadian business through leveraging global capability in this space.
• Collaborate with US & Global Insights stakeholders to share and reapply best practices drive the long-term Mars Insights capability agenda.
