Sask DLC requires a permanent full time English as Additional Language High School teacher. The position will commence on August 27, 2026. The campus location will be determined by the principal residence of the successful candidate. The grade level will be determined by enrolment.
Sask DLC is a Treasury Board Crown Corporation, created to deliver high-quality and equitable online learning programs to students across the province. Sask DLC’s head office is located in Kenaston, with an administrative office in Regina, and regional campuses located in Estevan, Kenaston, La Ronge, Moose Jaw, Meadow Lake, Nipawin, Prince Albert, Regina, Saskatoon, Swift Current and Yorkton.
Sask DLC online teachers deliver high-quality instruction and assessment for students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 courses. The Online EAL Teacher delivers high-quality instruction and assessment for students in Grades 10 to Grade 12 courses. This position involves the delivery of Saskatchewan EAL curriculum through a synchronous learning model. This multifaceted position focuses on delivering differentiated, targeted instructional English language support, ensuring English language learners receive the assistance they need. The ideal candidate will have expertise in English language teaching, outcome-based practices, an understanding of the Adaptive Dimension and supports for language learners, and a strong commitment to professional growth, team collaboration, and stakeholder communication. EAL teachers are aligned with a Language Development model that supports equitable access to learning through culturally responsive, asset-based instruction, grounded in second-language acquisition research and Continuous Framework of Reference (CFR)-aligned assessment. Through close collaboration with parents, the school team, and outside agencies, the EAL Teacher helps create an inclusive learning environment.
The EAL teacher will also collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to plan, track student progress, communicate with parents, and share resources and professional knowledge. Online teachers possess a strong understanding of digital platforms such as Moodle and Microsoft Teams and are committed to fostering an inclusive and engaging online learning environment.
